Due to my being a Journeyman Electrician in West Virginia, I inquired the WV Division of Labor as to what my limitations were regarding performing electrical work and this was their response:  "If doing work under $5,000 material and labor for residential and $25,000 for commercial, then you will just need your business license and your journeyman license. Total cost of project means everything going on onsite not just what you are doing."
